A very unusual vintage shield shaped pin. It's made of some type of plastic - it's not Bakelite, but could be some type of older plastic. The safety pin type clasp is attached with another piece of plastic glued to the back. This could be a home made piece or something that was not originally a pin, but made into one. The surface is very shiny with a nice, slightly iridescent quality.
In very good vintage condition, as shown in the photos, with little wear. So unique!
